This AFO Leaf Spring is made with injection-molded polypropylene, so it's light, strong, and has just the right amount of flexibility. This drop foot AFO brace is lightweight and provides dorsiflexion assistance to correct foot drop while walking.

Variable thickness throughout the AFO provides strength: thicker on the vertical component for rigidity and thinner on the footplate for easy trimming. The anatomical design compensates for atrophy and avoids heel irritation. This foot drop splint is easily trimmed with scissors and heat-moldable for a customized fit, accommodating most shoes.

This item is on manufacturer backorder. We suggest the Premium Leaf Spring AFO as an alternative.

Leaf spring AFO Brace Drop Foot (Right L/XL)

The ordering process and delivery process were great. However, once I gave my brother the brace, he noticed that it was not easy to put on himself. I cut it down to size for him, but he was still unable to wear it. Not enough velcro. Having velcro on the top of the brace is great, but there is nothing around the ankle or foot to hold the brace in place in order for him to put on his water shoes in the shower or pool. There should be more support. He only has his left hand to deal with keeping the brace in place and putting on his water shoes. Doesn't work properly. Now I have to make ever more adjustments and glue/blot on some velcro to the brace for it to be able to do its job of support.

Review

I've worn these for several years now with no problems. The only complaint is that the straps are mounted on the wrong side of the brace for easy attachment and removal. They need to be attached on the outward side of the brace instead of the inward side to easily reach the release end of the strap. They are comfortable, easy to clean and the material is strong and thus long lasting.

AFO Brace

I bought this brace to replace my broken one that I bought through Medicare for $200 with $40 copay. This brace is exactly like the $200 one, works perfectly.

One of the best ideas I ever had

Doctors were focused on a knee problem. Not improving. I decided to try managing my left foot drop. What a success! No more knee brace. No more walker. Very little knee pain, redness or swelling. Thank you for an amazing simple and yet ultimately helpful product.

Good price and does the job. I bought this one to have in reserve in case the other one I got a year ago breaks. But so far no breaks so now I have 2!
